A furniture exhibition with the participation of about 300 Turkish manufacturers will be held in Yekaterinburg next year. The agreement was reached within the framework of the previously signed agreement on cooperation between the organizer of the exhibition events of the Republic of Turkey — the Nobel Expo company, the Development Corporation of Sverdlovsk region and the Ural Exhibition Center "Yekaterinburg-EXPO".

Advisor to the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Vadim Tretyakov said that the trend to strengthen trade and economic ties between the region and Turkey will be strengthened in 2023.

"On behalf of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, the Middle Urals Development Corporation has been building partnerships with the Turkish business community since 2019. The result of this work was the signed contract on the exhibition. The event with foreign colleagues will contribute to the expansion of business contacts, increase trade turnover between states and solve other tasks of the national project "International Cooperation and Export"," Vadim Tretyakov said.

The organizer of the exhibition events of the Republic of Turkey, Nobel Expo, together with the Association of Exporters of Turkey, will ensure the participation of more than 300 Turkish companies. Among them are manufacturers of furniture, equipment, components and technologies for the furniture industry. Sverdlovsk companies will also participate in the exhibition.

The signed document states that the exhibition will be held on the squares of Yekaterinburg-EXPO. According to Igor Danilov, General Director of the Ural Exhibition Center, the exhibition area will be more than 5 thousand square meters.

Currently, the topics of subsequent joint projects are also being worked out. According to the acting director of the Corporation for the Development of Sverdlovsk region Igor Vizgin, perhaps a shoe exhibition will follow the furniture exhibition.

Recall that the prospects of cooperation in the field of metallurgy, woodworking, medicine, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev discussed at the XII International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Hassan Buyukdede. In addition, the previously reached agreements on the development of Russian-Turkish relations were updated in terms of conducting cross-business business missions to search for goods and direct manufacturers, as well as to promote companies and products in the markets of Turkey and Russia.
