On October 7, 2021, a plenary session of the III Congress of Regional Investment Agencies and Development Corporations was held in Khanty-Mansiysk, the key topic of which was the issue of interregional cooperation in working with investors.

The Congress was attended by heads and representatives of regional specialized organizations for work with investors from 53 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Co-chairman of the Supervisory Board of NAAIR, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. In his speech, he noted that currently the inflow of foreign direct investment to Russia has significantly decreased, portfolio investors have begun to take capital from the Russian market. For these reasons, the focus of the regions has now shifted from foreign to domestic investors.

Summing up the results of the plenary session, the Executive Director of NAAIR Rafael Khusyainshin noted the openness and readiness of special organizations for interregional cooperation to attract new investors. This was confirmed by an agreement on cooperation between regional special organizations of the Ural Federal District. On behalf of the Corporation for the Development of the Middle Urals, the signature was put by the General Director Maksim Prachik.
