The Bogoslovsky Industrial Park was presented at the Russian Forest Industry Forum

On March 30 and 31, 2022, Moscow hosted the international forum "Russian Forest Industry: harvesting, processing, production" is a professional closed platform for discussing current trends in the development of the timber industry.

Ilya Pachkai, Deputy General Director of the Development Corporation of Sverdlovsk region, made a presentation on the forest fund of the Sverdlovsk Region, successful regional cases in the field of timber processing, as well as the potential for the development of the timber industry in the north of the region.

Two plywood mills "SVEZA Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha", which produces plywood from 100% birch veneer and "Tavdinsky Plywood Mill" are successfully operating in the Sverdlovsk region. The volume of production of enterprises is 220 thousand m3 per year and 60 thousand m3 of plywood per year, respectively.

Due to the potential of the region and favorable market conditions, a new investment project to create a new modern plywood production has been implemented on the territory of the Verkhnyaya Tura TOR since 2019.

"Significant raw materials resources are concentrated in the north of the Sverdlovsk region, which together with the developed transport infrastructure creates conditions for the development of all types of woodworking industries. For example, one of the world's largest enterprises, Kingsun Development, which produces ice cream sticks, operates in the Bogoslovsky Industrial Park. Now the company is planning the construction of the 2nd production stage," Ilya Pachkai said.
