• 28 February 2022

The factory "Porcelain Syserti" and other sights of Syserti were visited on February 28 by participants of the federal motor rally "Baikal Mile 2022", which is dedicated this year to places of power.

The team of the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation "RK-Sport", led by last year's winner of the grand tour Maxim Vasiliev, was assigned to complete the route to Lake Baikal, exploring the centers of folk culture and creativity.

"We are participating in this adventure for the second year in a row. This year is called the year of the cultural and intangible heritage of the peoples of Russia, and most of the tasks along the route are related to folk crafts, so we are in Sysert. A small, quiet, original city with a clean Ural special air. The Urals has its own culture, crafts, a special landscape and architecture. It is very beautiful here," Maxim Vasiliev said during the visit.

At the porcelain factory, the participants of the grand tour were given a ceramic plaque with a relief image of all the significant places of Sysert. This souvenir will be delivered to the final point of the rally – Baikal.

Recall that the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev has set the task to bring the region to the top ten most attractive regions of the country for tourists. Within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry", plans for infrastructure development are being formed in the region, new routes are being developed.

Grand Tour "Baikal Mile 2022. Places of Power" is a large car rally, during which participants perform route tasks, which turns it into a journey-quest. This year, 14 teams are taking part in the race, starting from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Vladivostok. All of them will meet at the final point of the rally – on the Baikal ice from March 9 to 13. Participating teams cover from 4 to 7 thousand kilometers and shoot videos on the topics of route tasks.
